Well... we had an interesting evening
I was in the shower, but according to DH, Alex walked into the living room with her mouth full of something, pointing to her mouth and giggling.
DH asked her what she ate, but her mouth was full so she couldn't say. He didn't want to freak her out so he asked her to show him, so she walked into the bathroom and showed him OUR toothpaste - you know the whitening kind filled to the brim with fluoride???
So he pulls me out of the shower, screaming and hollering - mind you, this is about 20 minutes before the babysitter is supposed to show up for our "date night". So, he's running around trying to find the # for poison control, I'm running around calling the pediatrician, it's a total madhouse with Alex freaked out!
So, for future reference, ladies, if your toddler happens to eat some toothpaste, fill them up with some milk and watch them for an hour.
Ahhhh, motherhood. Gotta love it. For once I had a GOOD excuse for showing up to a party late, but instead of using my dog ate the homework excuse, I could say my kid ate the toothpaste

We can laugh about it now, but I'm glad she's okay!
My stepbrother used to eat toothpaste and bread sandwiches.  I don't think he was as young as Alex at the time though.

These are the troubles you run into when you have a child that loves to eat
We spent the morning locking EVERYTHING that she could possibly eat into childsafe cabinets.
And Alex has memorized her new rule:
"NO EAT TOOTHPASTE!"
