Can Someone Explain this Bizzare DH Behavior?
Him: I really want to go to the Apple Store and "visit" the computer I'm going to eventually buy.
Me: Ok
Him: So, how long will it take you to get ready?
Me: Why do I have to get ready?
Him: So you can go with me.
Me: You need me to go with you to "visit" your computer?
Him: I dont NEED you to come but you could.
Me: Why dont you just go to the store without me?
Him: Why? Did you just want to stay in today?
Me: Seriously. If you WANT to go out just go out...you dont HAVE to go out only with me.
Him: I just thought it would be cool to go there today. But I dont have to go. I'll stay home.
Then he turned around to his desk and started playing on his computer.

Sounds like a conversation i would have with my DH, but subsitute Computer with Apple phone.. hes obsessed with it.

Either he really wanted your company, or he was hoping that by having you go see the computer that he wants, he would convince you that he needs to buy it now, rather than later.

This is very simple...
by you going and seeing this in person, you would like the computer and then he would ask the magic question "Can we bring it home" and then you can say yes...
now that you aren't going, he doesn't need to go...

Oh trust me, I have seen the computer he wants...the big one....with the monster monitor. The last time I went with him he "left me flat" and ignored me for the hour that he spent in there...so i dont think it a question of spending time with me.

DH often likes to visit the Plasma TV he wants. Funny thing is, I want it too so he doesnt need to convince me.
Maybe he just wants to show you off!

I don't see it as bizarre, but rather a sign of a good relationship. He wants to be with you, and put that first, over going to the store evidenced by the fact that he wanted you to come along, but then opted to skip the store visit when you didn't want to go. He's also being responsible in holding off on the purchase rather than giving in to instant gratification. Presumably, it's not in the budget now since he's not getting it just yet and he's willing to wait and save for it rather than sink into debt for his toys. I think you should count yourself among the lucky ones.

sounds like my DH too. ITA. This is usually DHs agenda when we go look at "potential" tvs for the bedroom. Somehow we always end up looking at the SAME ONE  strange, no?
