OMG are they seriously doing that? i want more shows like "the producers" and "mamma mia". something thats not already based on some kind of cartoon.

I'm sorry, but turning all these movies into Broadway plays is really killing Broadway IMO, especially the cartoons.
Now some of them are fine: Producers, Spamalot. But now it seems like every movie is becoming a broadway play: Legally BlondeL: the musical 
I'm sure there are talented playwrites out there dreaming of getting to Broadway, but this is the best the Great White Way can do? Come on.

Although- I did see Legally Blonde (not by choice- tix were a gift) and it was better than I expected it to be, and very cute. IMO. NOT the type of show I consider "Broadway Material" though.
