i drive w/ the same amount of caution with my SUV as i did all the years i owned sedans. my DH always said - four wheel drive - not four wheel stop - lol lol.

I don't have an SUV, but I do have a pickup truck. Big vehicles are LESS safe in the snow and ice than smaller vehicles, even when driven by the same people. SUVs have more mass, so they take longer to stop in general. They are taller, so they have a higher center of gravity, making it easier to flip. They have more blind spots, so it's harder to see things around you. They usually have big engines, so it's easier to spin the tires from a stop.
I'm always extra careful, no matter what vehicle I drive. Plus, I figure, no matter what I'm driving, or how I'm driving, I need to be careful because of all the idiots driving SUVs around me...... 
However, I DO have magical tires and an invisible force field, but it didn't come standard with my truck. I had to install them myself....

especially when they are riding your azz, and try to pass you and what not.... it pisses me off because they are the ones that are going to get into an accident by being stupid ..
