Re: Spinoff - what do you think your online persona comes across as?
I hesitate to comment on how others come across... my opinion changes waaaaaay too often to be anywhere near valid.
As to myself. I am fairly certain that I remain mostly unnoticed. I don't think anyone gives me a second thought one way or the other. If they do - they probably just think I am a typical 30 something working mom.

Re: Spinoff - what do you think your online persona comes across as?
I think that my persona would come across as laid back, sarcastic, caring (which I am from time to time) and one thing that I like to think is that sometimes people might say, who the heck cares what goes on in the UK or who cares that this chick lives overseas or whatever, but I really like to think that as a Long Islander living abroad, I can give a different perspective about lots of things. I like me. I really like me. Thats often my problem.
I also think my persona is much thinner and has better hair than I do in real life.
I like people, pretty much I like everyone. Oh and I like to sing. Thank your lucky stars you can't hear me sing.

Truth be told, I think I'm more outgoing in person, than I am on here.

I think I come off as someone who posts a lot of links and facts, has funny smilies, has a good sense of humor, and gives some good perspectives into the male psyche.

That's how I see you. I also think of you as the guy who makes the cool games and breaks up the monotony.

I think that I'm probably perceived as someone who is on the quiet side, but who speaks up when she feels she has something important or worthwhile to say.
You do. You always struck me as such a nice person- even back in the LIF days. Just one of the few genuinely, sweet and nice people left.
I agree.
I feel the same way!
As for myself, I'm not sure I come across as anything really--I usually stick around Parenting and even at that I feel like I'm pretty shy, just like in real life. Maybe some see me as sarcastic--I use this guy quite a lot!

Re: Spinoff - what do you think your online persona comes across as?
I don't know if my online persona is even recognizable.
What I mean by that is I don't think I call too much attention to myself, at least not enough to fall into a category. If this was a Poll, I'd have to select "Other".
I post sarcastic comments on Celeb Gossip, but for the most part, I avoid drama and I'm not a pot-stirrer.
Oh, and the fact that I recently changed my screen name, probably adds to the confusion!

If I had to evaluate myself as an outsider (based solely on what I write), I would say I come across as articulate, considerate, conservative and often poetic (in a 5-7-5 kind of way).

Thank you, but lately, I decided that until my students start saying "Thank You" instead of expecting things, I will reserve my cookies for people who will actually appreciate them. (I expect addresses by the droves via FMs in 5..4..3..2..1)

Sadly, no I am not a Lexus owner. Maybe they got my email at corporate though I secretly hope they did not! I am enjoying the saga way too much at this point.

You come across to me as a middle aged Asian man, of course, that could just be an administrative error on my part.

Ah yes. How soon I forget! I'll need tutoring in Cantonese soon if I do run into the real Mr. Chen.
