Is my kid a freak of nature or is this normal?

I know Baby Brontosaurus is big, but he's normalizing. At 5 months he was 29 inches, but he's gone through another growth spurt since then. The weird thing is that he spurts mainly in his torso. We know he's gone through a growth spurt because none of his onesies will snap anymore. He's now in 18 month onesies. Chat Icon But in pants he can still get away with 6-9 months. Chat Icon

Is a torso growth spurt normal? TIA!

He sounds fine to me. He has a baby body. My kids all wore pants that were on the smaller side size-wise until they were toddlers. My DS wears 24m or 2T shirts but he wears 18m pants still. Same with my DD, she was 18 months and still wearing 12m pants. Now she is 3 1/2 and the legs got so long, esp this year.

I think it's normal. I had to put away some of DD's clothes because they wouldn't snap either. Chat Icon

My DD is the opposite, she has long (chubby) legs but a short torso. She's long though too...

sounds normal to me. Kaitee (18 months) has been in 24 month onesies since 12 months and 18 month pants are still a little baggy on her.
