Okay......need you guys to calm me down!!
So I am 6w1d and so far everything has been fine. I had my 1st sono on Monday and the doctor said everything looked good. This morning I am crampy although no more than usual......I still cramp off and on throughout the day but when I went to the bathroom (TMI) and wiped after I pee'ed I notcied a very slight pink/brown tinge on the TP. I've heard that some women spot or even bleed throughout the 1st trimester but as I haven't had a hint of this as of yet I am nervous.
Should I be concerned.......is this normal and okay? I figured I will keep an eye out all morning and if it gets worse or changes I will call the doctor but I just need some reassurance. Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The same thing happened to me during my first trimester. I cramped alot and also spot too. I would say it is normal and try not to worry.

I'm no expert, but by all accounts this is normal!
All of us newly pregnant girls need to remember, our bodies WANT to do this! And statistics show the VAST MAJORITY of pregnancies end in healthy babies!!!!
to you. Stay calm!

Give the doc a buzz just to let them know f your findings.
Brown usually means old blood, could just be from implantation or whatever.
My friend bled her whole first trimester and now she is very pregnant at 20 weeks and healthy.

Re: Okay......need you guys to calm me down!!
Thank you guys for the replies. I called the doctor and they said that it's perfectly normal and to call if anything changes and I see red blood or I start to pass a blood clot. So far everything is okay.......I am spotting a little on my pantiiliner but it's brown and the doctor said that it's just old blood.
Just wondering.......old blood from what? Is it old blood from implantation weeks ago? Anyway, I am still nervous of course but I feel a little better now that the doctor was not concerned and you guys have had similar experiences. Thanks again!!!!!

that's what I was going to say - probably from implantation.

Re: Okay......need you guys to calm me down!!
I feel sooooooooooo much better. I haven't spotted at all since about 10:30 this morning and as I mentioned earlier, it was brown and just a few spots on my pantiliner.
Anyway, when I got home from work I did a little research and I read that brown spotting is harmless and is just old blood (like you guys said) that can release from your body when you have an irritation of the cervix. I had an internal sonogram on Monday morning so I guess that could've done it.
I feel much more relieved and calm. Thank goodness!!!! Getting through the first trimester is hard work!!
Thanks again for your help!!!

Re: Okay......need you guys to calm me down!!
The cramping usually is uterus expanding, I was spotting for one whole weekend when I was about 9 weeks. i freaked out and went for an emergency sono, everything was perfectly normal. I have a feeling everything with you is fine.

Thanks, I am sure everything is fine too. I've the had cramping off and on since I was 5DPO so that I am use to. It was the brown spotting that freaked me but it stopped and it was hardly anything when all was said and done.

Re: Okay......need you guys to calm me down!!
I had this earlier in the week.... one red spotting with a clot... nothing else happend since!
I went for an emergency sono, and everything seems to be fine (for what you can tell at 5 weeks).
What I've noticed is that my cramping is just mildly more noticable since then.... It's odd... I'm trying not to think about it. As long as my cervix is clamped shut and I see a sac, I'm good for now.....

I am figuring that you have calmed down by now....
I just want u to know that right in the beginning *I didn't even know I was PG yet* at around 4 weeks.... I bled, and I mean I bled RED blood...
I thought it was my period....
yah... so not the case - turns out it was implantation bleeding...

Re: Okay......need you guys to calm me down!!
I bled and bled reaaaaaaaal bad at one point. I had low-lying placenta also and not seen yet. It is not uncommon at all and if you ever have a issue like that it never gets worse only better, it just means pretty much no sex until it moves. If you bleed again you are soppose to sit or lay down and put your feet up. Glad u are better and prayers you don't have anymore!
