 Re: My first TMI post...
That happened to me as well and I freaked out. I would call the doctor to be on the safe side, they may want you to come in. Try to rest and stay hydrated. Like I said before the same thing happened to me and it ended up being nothing.

 Re: My first TMI post...
It's probably inplantation bleeding. Brown usually means "old" so don't freak out!
ETA: The same thing happened to me the day I got my BFP and I thought for sure it was AF but my ob said it was inplantation bleeding but call if you're concerned.

that is correct! Brown is old blood. It's only the red red blood that you have to worry about!

 Re: My first TMI post...
While it's likely nothing, it's best to call your Dr. It's not uncommon to get a bit of pink or brown 'leak' during the first trimester, but it's something most Dr's want to monitor....
my friend had pink spotting during her 1st trimester.... she's fine now and it stopped. but her Dr. was monitoring her closely

 Re: My first TMI post...
I just called the Dr....she said while it is normal to spot, she still wants me to go into the office tomorrow and get checked out.
I'm trying to relax, but its just a wave of emotions right now, between this and being sick I'm in tears....these hormones stink

Relax! Take a deep breath. It's probably nothing but it's good you're getting it checked out. At 5 weeks, things are going to be tiny still so don't freak if you don't see much if she does a sono. Try to feel better. Here's some good luck sticky dust anyway!

I'm glad you posted this because I have it too. I haven't called the doctor yet but seeing all these posts make me think I should call. Did yours just start? I have had mine for about 3 days now...

my friend had this situation for a couple weeks, she was monitored, and everything is fine.... she's well into her 2nd trimester now, and the discharge has stopped.
  so don't worry too much

Aw, hang in there. Like the other girls said brown is usually an indication of old blood which would be nothing out of the ordinary.
Let us know how the Dr. goes today.
