Bleeding...update on bottom

I'll be 22 weeks tomorrow and i had some bleeding last night. It was the first time that DH and I had 'relations' in quite some time. I wasn't nervous since it went away and I felt it was just because of the sex. My cousin said I should call the Dr anyway. What would you guys do??? TIA

Re: Bleeding...

I would call if it would make you feel better. I had that happen once though, after DH and I had sex the next morning there was a little bit of blood when I wiped.

Re: Bleeding...

I actually didn't. I didn't have any cramping and it was just a tiny little bit when I wiped and I didn't see any more.

Re: Bleeding...

This happened to me at around 17 weeks. Definitely call the doctor, but rest assured that this does happen to some women after "relations." I'm sure you are fine but it is best to get the doctor's opinion on it.

Re: Bleeding...

My doctor said it is fairly normal to experience after sex. Semen will naturally cause the cervix to open slightly and some blood may come out. I would still call your doctor to be sure but my doctor said it is fairly normal.

If you're nervous, then definitely call!

But, I have read that there is increased blood flow to the genital area and you can bleed more easily and that after sex it is common.

Re: Bleeding...

I had the same problem. Mine didn't last so I didn't call the Dr. My Doctor had told me that this likely would happen. If you are concerned definitely check with your OB

Re: Bleeding...

I totally loved that you used the word relations. I use it too! LOL

anyway, it's totally normal b/c it happened to me. But my blood was bright red and it was a decent amount. I got nervous BUT the blooed stopped and never returned. I never had any pain and I always felt the baby. I am soooooo not the girl the dr. type of girl, but I was still pressured into calling him. he said..... Since I had my level II that week the tech would have seen placenta previa so I am in the clear of that. And that it was just from having relations. I had an appt the following week and they did a sono. everythign was fine.

Hope this helped!!!!

I actually did...but only until next week when I see my regular OB. Laura, to answer your question...my DH's response was 'I don't think we are having sex while this baby is still in you!'
