How much storgae do I REALLY need?

He's a baby- do I need a LOT more drawer space than this?

External Image

I really only have spac ein the room for one dresser- I can get a tall dresser

and the snap on the crib changing table, but I would prefer a low dresser...

I also plan to get a billy bookcase form Ikea

which can hold baskets for things like shoes... and other accessories...

thoughts?

negative- BUTT The space behind where the door opens is an option- I may hang some closet rod system there... so that when you open the door, you can't see it, but it's there for storage and such.

eta- or I may hand a rod on one of the bookcase shelves and add the doors.

I think the taller dresser is a better option. It looks like it would stay more organized.

I would get the taller dresser. I have 2 dressers and his closet and I am maxed out.

I know you prefer the low...but I think the high dresser will provide you with more room to grow. They're little clothes...but they seem to multiply rather quickly Chat Icon

I am having the same problem.

I wanted a low dresser, so can use as a changing station too. Since we are still in an apartment we don't want to get her permenant furniture yet.

If you really want the low dresser, hang the rod and make a closet with the space behind the door, you can buy those rubbermaid drawers and put them at the bottom of the new closet area, and can get a little more storage with them.

We registered for a low dresser, and the drawers are very deep, so I might just get some drawer dividers for right now, keep onsesies and pjs in the same drawer or something like that.

You will probably need more then you think because he will have clothes ranging from newborn to at least 6 months in the room. They grow so fast, you may not always have the time to switch out. Plus, you may get a ton of outfits once the baby is born ranging in all sizes.
