Those of you delivery in March...

What are you getting for a coming home outfit. I bought a really cute Wendy Bellisimo sweater outfit from BRU but now i'm second guessing myself. Do you thing sweater material might be a bit much for that time of year? I'm due March 24th. Also what size are you getting. I bought newborn but it still looks so big.

Re: Those of you delivery in March...

I am so struggling. I think a sweater outfit will be fine, though- he will still probably need to be totally bundled up, even if it's 50 degrees out.
I actually registered fo r abundle me lite for this reason- I htink they need to be way more bundled than we would be.
Will you post the outfit? I fell in love with a Wendy Bellisimo tweed elbow patch blazer for his firt Xmas card photo, and they don't have it in small sizes- I'm devastated.

I think a sweater outfit will totally be fine in March Dawn. I remember being back home, and still wearing the sweaters and jackets myself - I can only imagine that a bebe would need the same if not more.........

They don't have it on the website...i'll take a pic as soon as I get my camera back. It's really cute...white with a little bit of tan. It says little star in tan on the front and on the butt it has a big star outlined in tan...with a matching hat.

re: the size- I think I will buy 0-3 months- bc isn't newborn only up to 7 pounds? I have a feeling Max POwer will be bigger than that.

Should I get a footed sleeper?

One peice Layette and Hat a friend made for her. March in NY is cold... so it's perfect. You child will need to be kept warm for a while, they just came out of 98+ degreesChat Icon Don't worry, I think it's perfect and sounds adorable.
ETA: Got Newborn, b/c my daughter was 7pounds and 19.5 inches long when born and 0-3 was HUGE on her.

I'm not sure if you can really go by that. My friend just had a baby in Dec. She was 6 pds 9 or 11 oz 19 1/2"...she only fit into premie clothes for a while.

It's mostly white. It has a little bit of tan on the seams going up the shoulders and maybe around the collar. It's so cute right?

Re: Those of you delivery in March...

I havent even thought about a take home outfit. I was going to wait and see if it was a boy or girl and then see what presents I get when we are in the hospital. Maybe I could just get a little sweater to put on over. Do you think that is not being prepared enough?? Should I make sure I bring a seperate outfit?

Re: Those of you delivery in March...

When I delivered DS on Oct 1st He wore a wEndy sweater outfit eventhough I wore shorts and a shirt so I think it will be perfect for March. Actually I will be delivering in April this time and if it's a boy I thought it would be really cool if he wore his big brother's coming home outfit!

Re: Those of you delivery in March...

I got this as an early shower gift and I think it will work well. My DH picked out an outift and bought it but I think it will be too big. I think I'll bring both and see what happens. Both outfits are 0-3, but the blue sweater one looks much smaller than the other.

This looks like the outfit I bought. Mine isn't cable knit though. Mines white and along the buttons and neck is beige/tan.

Re: Those of you delivery in March...

I am having the sames struggles, only I do not know the weather where I live now. I hear NC can be in the 70s.

I have a really cute outfit, but I am afriad she will be cold so if I use it I will have a blanket for her leaving. Or I will get a back-up outfit.

No, I think that is perfect. I delieverd in mid April and purchased a velour sweat suit for DS to come home in. It had been cool that march and beginning of April. Well the day we brought him home it was 75 degrees! I still dressed him up in it. When I took him out of the carrier he didn't feel overly warm, I just dind't put a blanket over him. When I got home I changed him into something lighter.
