has anyone had a miscarriage? i was just wondering about how long you bled for afterwards. thanks!

8 weeks.
Just as an FYI, you need to go for a follow-up sonogram to make sure you don't need a D&C.

I think I bled for 6-8 weeks. I had blood work every other day until my levels were back down to 0.

thank you guys.
the dr. called it a "chemical miscarriage" and didnt tell me to come in so i assume perhaps its slightly different.
i was wondering for about how long i should expect to bleed for though, so thank you.

I am so sorry Jess. I believe chemicals are much like regular AF so maybe 5 days.

I think with a chemical you will bleed similarly to a regular period.

So sorry for you loss...but yes, a chemical is much like regular AF..maybe a little heavier than normal is all.

With a chemical, you will have bleeding that is like a normal period, in length, but your flow will be a little heavier.

I had a D&C, bled for 18 days then had my period 5 days after that for a week.
