WELL HELLOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!
I cannot even describe the amount of joy, emotion and excitement in typing that on this very first day of 2008 I received a BFP!!!!!!!!
DH and I have been waiting for this moment for awhile now and I cannot believe I took a digital today that actually said the words PREGNANT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 
I have been a lurker on both Pregnancy, Parenting, TTC and Infertility for many years now and I have grown to love and respect so many as well as the precious babies.
Sorry getting so emotional. (hormones).
Anyway, all I ask is some sticky dust please, I am a little nervous (as expected, I'm sure). And any intial advice on what foods, drinks to avoid any helpful hints etc...... We are not telling anyone as of yet so this is my only resource for questions, concerns....
As you could tell I am new to this.

CONGRATULATIONS! What great New Years news.
Doctors tell you a wide range of things, some more conservative than others. Here is what I was told by mine:
Cut down on the caffeine (cup of coffee a day is ok)
No deli meats or hotdogs
Fish only once a week
No saunas or hot tubs
Excercise is great, but keep heart rate under 150
Make your first OB appointment and enjoy this special time

I agree with the earlier post about keeping your heart rate under 150 and cutting caffeine and no cold cuts.
I'd add to take prenatals if you aren't already. Also call your OB.

Congratulations!!!!!!! What a wonderful way to start off the New Year! It will be a special one for you and your DH, congrats on your BFP in 2008!
My Dr. just said follow a healhty diet and do what makes you comfortable...asking my grandmother and others they didn't have all these restrictions when we were young and we all turned out fine, right? Enjoy this time!!!!
I started journaling to the baby and saving everything, including my digital BFP stick Again Congrats!
