Re: Maybe a silly question....
We're using a moses basket. I don't think there's anything unsafe about the pack and play though. Does he thing pack and plays in general are unsafe or just for newborns at night?

Re: Maybe a silly question....
I used a co-sleeper until she got to big for, now shes in Playyard, shes 3m old, our crib was recalled and havent had a chance to put together new one, otherwise she would be in there by now.

The crib!
Julia was in our room in the bassinet, but it was easier for me to BF her in bed with us, well she wanted nothing to do with her bassinet after that, and now 2 1/2 years later shes still in our bed--lol
Next baby goes right into the crib!

Re: Maybe a silly question....
bassinet and pack and play on the main floor. I too am going to try to resist bringing this one in the bed. My second loved the night time nursing to much and did not sleep well throught the night.

Re: Maybe a silly question....
I am torn over this. I have potential beds all over the house I have a PNP for the den downstairs (but with the way our room is set up, it won't really work in there), then crib 2 doors down from us, then the bassinet portion of my stroller (zippy) and now I registered for a co-sleeper. I think I'll make the final decision after I see what people get me. Someone bought my PNP so far.

Re: Maybe a silly question....
The crib and the PNP will be on the main floor. Not sure how much sleeping there will be in the PNP but it will be like my crib when I don't go upstairs.

Re: Maybe a silly question....
I plan on getting a Moses basket and maybe a cosleeper. My 1st hated the bassinet and went right to the crib.

Re: Maybe a silly question....
I want to go right for the crib, but friends with little kids tell me how I don't know what I'm doing b/c I'm not a mom yet . Especially since I plan on BFing. Easier doesn't always turn out better IMO, I've had that argument with numerous mom's. Worse case scenerio I'll use the bassinet feature in the pack n play in our room for no more than 3 weeks... I can't see buying a bassinet to use for 3 weeks. No way is this baby ever sleeping in our bed... I've seen too much Nanny 911 with the 8 year old who won't go to bed at night without a massive temper tantrum unless they sleep with mom and dad. Most important is that the baby gets into a sleep routine by the time I get back to work.

Re: Maybe a silly question....
DD went straight to the crib, absolutely no problems at all.
DC#2 will also go straight to the crib.
ETA: I don't think using the bassinett part of the pack n play is unsafe. I used it for naps when we were downstairs. If the crib didn't work out, I would have put the pack and play in my bedroom. Thankfully the crib was fine.

In our bed. We've co-slept with all of our children and haven't had a problem getting them out of our bed.
