Need help ASAP please
I called midwives over an hour ago and still no call back and I do not have time to research so I would appreciate your help. TIA!
Liz has been sick for the past 24 hours and now has a 101 fever. What concerns are there with a fever during pregnancy and at what temp is there a concern?

Any fever is a concern.
Is the throwing up? Chills?
If she has any of these, go to the ER.

Dehydration can also be an issue. Going to the ER might be a good idea so she can get fluids if needed.

the main concern is hydration.. make sure she is well hydrated! there is a stomach bug going around!

I know there is a pretty bad stomach bug going around...does she have any other symptoms?

I had a 102.5 fever a few mos ago and was scared myself.
A bath and reg. strength tylenol will reduce the fever... glad to hear she's doing better!

She can take tylenol if the fever gets to high other wise just keep her hydrated and let her rest.
I had a virus with a fever last week the fever lasted almost 24 hours. The congestion however has not gone away yet.

Glad to hear she is feeling better.
Good rule of thumb is dehydration is a severe threat to us preggos. Can cause all sorts of problems such as pre-term labor. If any symptom continues for a period of time, the ER should be your first step!

Couldn't have said it better myself.
Sipping as much water as she can possibly hold down. She can lose lots of water as her body tries to keep the fever down.
Pre-term labor is the main threat.

I am better today. Fever pretty much stayed at 100.2 and once spiked at 101. Just a nasty head and chest cold. Thankfully still had my appetite. Dranks tons of water. Like 12 ounces an hour at times. And I know I was still dehydrated since my urine was still dark (TMI) I will take this over the stomach bug. Got up at 1130 today. AND actually slept through the night and half of today. Night before I was up every 45 mins to an hour. Ron did get me tylenol but by then my fever was over. thank for all your replies. Midwife did call after about 3 hours but I did tell service it was not an emergency. She said Tylenol at 100.4

Liz, I am glad you are feeling better. I had a 24 hour stomach virus with fever and had to go to the ER to get fluids.

I am so sorry you went throught that. My sister had that last year at 7.5 months and landed there for fluids also.
