Sweet 16 - what should I wear?
DH and I are going to a sweet 16 tonight- my SIL said that its "casual" and she is wearing jeans and a heal..
My MIL is wearing brown pants, and matching shirt
Dh aunt is wearing black jeans and a red sweater...
So heres my question- I don't own "dressy" jeans- so will I be overdressed in blank pants and a sweater?

I think black pants is totally fine. IMO better to be overdressed than underdressed.

So If I wear blank pants and a sweater I wont look like a dork sitting next to people in jeans?

What about black pants but a more sexy top--something lower, or V-neck, with heels. That seems less matronly than a sweater.

Its a cute sweater ( I wouldn't say sexy- but def. not matronly)
ETA- I was trying to dress myself down with the sweater

Yeah why not? be different! I wouldn't wear a fancy one, but a cute black dress would be nice!
