BFP what next
Hi ladies-
I just got a BFP this morning, and I am beyond overwhelmed. What are the first steps? Thanks for an advice you can give me. I have no idea what I am doing.

First of all CONGRATULATIONS!!!! I wish you a happy and healthy nine months!!!!  
As far as whats next, not much to do now but call your OB and schedule your first appointment. They usually make you wait till you are around 8 or 9 weeks before they see you (if I remeber correctly). So just enjoy your BFP, take your vitamins, drink lots of water, eat right and let the good times begin!!

Congrats
Call your OB. Some will schedule you when you are 8 weeks along so you'll want to get that scheduled as soon as you can.

For me I told my DH
Then I went to the store and bought more tests (took 5 total)
Then call your OB to make an appointment

my doctor told me to do no drinking, smoking... limit your caffeine, no cold cuts, sushi, feta cheese, blue cheese, drink lots of water. that is all i can think of right now...

anything raw - eggs, sushi. seafood. although some people on here have said you can have shrimp bx its cooked.
Also my doctor said I can have up to 2 cups of coffee a day. ( I dont drin coffee anyway) but watch your caffeine in take in chocoalte, soda, etc.
Also any cheese you eat needs to be pastuerized. Stay away from diff types of cheese at restaurants. your normal swiss and american are fine but no feta, bree etc when you are eatng out bc you dont know if its been pastuerized.
Thats all I can think of for now but every doctor is different.

what everyone else said, and i would go buy OTC prenatals so that you are taking something until u see your doctor!

Then call you OBGYN to make your first initial appt.

Congrats! I'm in the same boat as you! I just made an appt. with my doc. and started prenatals. I'm watching what I eat, and other than that, waiting till my appt.
