Another Spinoff to Bottle Nipples... Playtex Dropins
I use the Playtex Dropins bottles. DS does really well with them, always has. My question is... When should I change him to the fast flow nipples? He is 8 1/2 months old and I have tried the fast flow a couple of times, but he seems to spit up MUCH more when he uses those. It takes him a LONG time to finish a bottle with the slow flow and he gets "bored" quickly with it so doesn't normally finish a 6 oz bottle anymore. I'm not sure what to do. Any advice from you ladies??? TIA!

Hmmm...maybe use the fast flow during the day and the slow flow at night when he is more tired? Then eventually he will be able to use all fast flow...HTH.

Re: Another Spinoff to Bottle Nipples... Playtex Dropins
I say, if he does good w/ the slow flow stick with it. We use the drop ins also, and DS was almost 7 mos when we changed to the fast flow. We changed b/c he was getting mad that the milk was not coming out fast enough.
Question, do you use the silicone or latex nipples?
DS has used the latex mostly, but we had a couple silicone ones. In slow flow, he did fine with both. But when we switched to the fast flow, the sillicone ones he couldn't get a good "grip" on them, know what I mean? So the formula got EVERYWHERE but his mouth. He does great with the fast flow latex.

I just changed the nipples to 3-6 months right before my son turned three months old...he did spit up a bit but then got used to the bottles and is fine now...I say give it some time.

This is terrible, but I THINK I use the slicone ones. I use the clear ones if that makes sense, not the brown ones..... I guess I should know, huh???

I ALWAYS confuse them! Yes, the clear ones are the silicone.
