What was the worst gift you received for DC?
I'll go first (not that it's terrible but..)
MIL wakes me up the other day to ask me what to get DD.
I tell her PJs. That she needs 6-9 month PJs which is EXACTLY what she wears right now.
She got her PJs.
12 month PJs.
Fleece.
They will fit her when she is a year old --in June.

Hmm, no real bad gifts here for the kids!  Everything was something they needed, or wanted, and everything was in the right size!!
Now if your talking us adults, I could go on forever!

Nothing so bad. My mom got her a Santa pin for her coat.  OK mom every two year old needs a pin on their coat. Needless to say it's still in the box.
My mom also got her a bike (NOT a tricycle, a bike) that she won't be able to use for another year or two. It's in the garage already. It was a total surprise. I would have told her no way had I had any say.

Actually that is smart of your MIL cause DS is wearing 12 monhts and he is only 6 m onths old.

Honestly, my dd wore fleece pjs in the summer..because we have central air, and she didn't use a blanket..

My BIL has no clue and buys Julia boyish toys every year.... This year she got a lawnmower that blows bubbles--lol
Oh and he also got her a little peoples Farm house, that shes to old for.....

My DS #2 received a toy that is for age 3 mths and he is 19 months. Unfortunately the tags were immediately pulled off so its not returnable.
My DS #1 received a Doodle Monster. He's 5 1/2. Not sure what age range this normally appeals to but for him, it would have been 2 years ago.
My DD received a pair of pjs size 6x - she wears a 3T. She wanted so bad to wear them too on Christmas night but there was no way for her to carry off 6x.
Everyone meant well though so I hate to complain

I don't think that's a boyish gift. They have on in pink but Im assuming that's not the one she received. However a bubble mower in December is kind of tough for a kid to play with. Even if its warm enough to play outside it's generally not warm enough for bubbles to work.

Yeah its a blue one..... and she can't use it now anyway. There are so many other girly things he could of got her, so it upsets me when he gets her gifts like this.

Alex is 6 months - almost 7 - and is still wearing 3-6 month stuff.
She also got her First Porsche - from my brother - but I love it, it's pretty neat!!

Plastic Blocks and Teethers from the 99 cent store Yea, like I am going to let my child play with those lead paint filled toys, lol. From DH's grandma and great aunt. They mean well, but a teether from a dollar store is NOT going in my child's mouth.

M daughter got the lawnmower last year for her birthday and at first I was like but she really did love it.

I was going to say the same thing!! I hate when people give me clothes or PJ's in exactly the size he wears right now - I know they won't even last the month!!!

Really? Not to burst your bubble, but most of the teethers at Target and BRU are made in China just like the dollar store ones  Dollar store stuff is just as regulated as "regular store" stuff.
Oh, and DS received a "Wiggles" guitar. I think my grandma forgot he's almost nine

I have to say the worst gift ds got was his smart cycle. Only because when we put it together it didn't work and I tried to return it today and they were sold out along with two other toys r us's. They said they wouldn't be getting a truck in until some time in January But maybe when we acutally get a new one it may turn out to be his best gift

Ok, I feel very guilty that I'm going to even write this because my best friend did put a lot of thought adn effort into this gift, but she made Ava a scarf. She noticed that I never put one on Ava, so she knit her this really cute, fuzzy one. I didn't have the heart to tell her that Ava doesn't wear one because it's still a choking hazard at this age

ok..I have you allllllllllllll beat.....
my mil bought my son who is 12 2 pens===yes...pens...one is a boxing martian-it is broken and won't shut off...
my 9 mon old twins got a coffee mug...
and my daughter who is 11 got high heel hooker shoes to play "dress up"
she shops at the church...I am going to burn in hell for even repeating this...but a PEN?????????????/

Not all babies grow that quickly though. Lily has always worn her clothes for a while...she's just about 7 months and is currently *just* fitting into her 6-9 month clothes. 6-12 is still waaay too big on her.
6-9 month clothes were a huge hit with me this Christmas! She's probably going to be able to wear them most of the winter!
