How long did you wait
to tell your immediate family (parents) about your BFP? I just got my BFP today and I know your really supposed to wait about 2-3 months to start telling people. I feel that my mom will really be hurt if I wait that long. I thought it would be a nice Christmas present to tell our parents on Christmas, but what do you think?

Congrats on the BFP! We told immediate family right away, along with some close friends. We told everyone else right after our 12 week sonogram.

We told our immediate family right away. All others were told once we reached week 12.

I basically handed my mom the test when she came over that day! I only waited to tell work not my family or friends.

Congrats!
We told our families (parents and siblings) together at a dinner at our house 1 week after BFP. We told everyone else after 12weeks.

We waited to tell the parents until 7 weeks, when I had a second sonogram and saw things were fine. Based on our experiences TTC, I needed to do that.

i told my mom as i was still on the toilet crying really! and dh told his mom that day too BUT we told them to not tell ANYONE ELSE not even our siblings eventhough i want to tell my brother so bad and dh wants to tell his sisters we are still going to wait.....its hard with the holidays and everything especially when u drink like me no wine at christmas eve dinner for me this yr or drinking like a fish for new years eve! oh well this is sooooooooooooo much better than that anyway.....good luck if u tell ur family, they are going to be soooooooooooo happy....exciting!!!!!!!!

I told everyone right away. I cant keep someone like that a secret. besides if GOD FORBID something were to happen , I would go to all my friends/family for support anyway.

we told everyone right at the 12 week mark.... that includes the immediate family. Brian was such a nervous nelly in the beginning....

Well we did not tell our families yet. I will be 3 months on wednesday and we're telling everyone for christmas!
The reason we did not tell our families is because they cannot keep a secret! And we did not want anyone to know until the 3 month mark, so since they can't keep a secret... they weren't let in on the secret!

This would have been my plan except I knew better about my Mom.
I waited until was almost 10 weeks because I knew she would blab even if I asked her not too. And true to what I thought, she did
If your parents are trustworthy, tell them for Christmas!!!

We wanted to wait until 12 weeks to tell everyone but I began spotting and I was nervous so we told our parents around 7 weeks and everyone else around 12 weeks.

I had to tell everyone right away. I went out to dinner w/ a bunch of my close friends and didnt order a drink...... so they kinda guessed and I couldnt lie. lol
