Optimum Voice
DH and I have owned our house for a year (tomorrow!)
I was under the impression (verified by cablevision website) that optimum voice phone #s are unlisted.
so why do my inlaws' names (who do not live here btw) come up on 411.com when I typed in my phone #??
(which would explain why we got "welcome to the neighborhood stuff in his dads name!)

b/c cable phone lines are unlisted - you're not using a phone land line.

If you had your line ported over from somewhere else is could still be in 411's data base from your previous carrier.

we have optimum voice, i just checked 411.com and no name comes up.
it says the number is located in bethpage, but we're in malverne. i guess bethpage is where o.v. is located?

its a brand new #- and our names dont come up my inlaws do
eta: meaning i type in MY number and my address pops up right but it says my inlaws names not DHs...

Mine comes up on people's phones but not listed in the phone boook.
I have noticed that when my girlfriend calls me at work her number comes up Lightpath and when I am home it shows her name and number.
