ideas on telling family if it's a boy or girl

we had our level II on monday and had the sono tech write it down for us and put it in a card to open on christmas. and no we haven't looked yet!!

we are going to be telling our families on christmas. Any creative ideas on how to tell them. They are super excited to be finding out!

Hi, I was just dropping in to see what you're all talking about. What about getting them Christmas ornaments (either pink or blue)? Then it's something they'll always have. They can all open their boxes at once.

My brother and SIL told me before the rest of my family so I went to the disney store and got a blue shirt w/ princesses on the front. My SIL held it up w/ the back showing everyone and they all thought it was a boy for a second-- then she turned it over. My niece wears the shirt today (I got a bigger size) and LOVES that it held such a special meaning (she's 4).

I had a friend that opened the envelope in front of her family on Christmas day. She just told that by opening it and reading it to everyone.

It's hard to prepare for it since you don't know yourself. You could write a poem and state boy or girl in the poem. Put it in a box and have them all open it at the same time.

After we found out what we where having I went out and bought a shirt that said "Its a GIRL" (at old navy) and when I went home and took my jacket off we waited to see how long it took for everyone to realize. It was cute!

We had my dog wear a bright pink ribbon. When we got to my parents house I rang the bell and made sure the dog entered first. Everyone thought it was cute.

I was going to go buy ballons but at the last minute I got to lazy and found the pink ribbon in the closet!

I'm going to write a poem and let the godparents open it up and read it out loud!!

PS-You are sooooooo good for not opening it! I had them put it in an envelope bc they gave me a quick sono and DH wasn't there! I didn't even make it to the car and it was opened!
