Do you think it's b/c I'm pregnant?

I just got my annual bonus and I didn't get one cent more than I did last year (and I certainly didn't work less this year). However, last year I was quite happy with my bonus (it was more than I expected). So, I can't determine if I got the same b/c my boss felt I deserved more last year or I got the same b/c he didn't want to raise it b/c I'm pregnant.
I don't want to be greedy - it's still generous, but I can't help but to think he should have put an $500 or so in there just to raise it so I wouldn't question it.

I think my company puts a cap on the bonus? Do you know if others got more than you?

I doubt others got more than me on my level, it's really not a company spread thing - more individually based.

I think a bonus is a bonus and there can be a lot of reasons why they didn't give you more than last year.

i totally agree. i was also given a guarentee as part of my salary. it was a little larger than last year but my review was amazing ( last yr good but not this good) so i was expecting more. i found out that i am capped at 20% of my base salary ( which isnt very high and didnt grow much). The thign is it has always been rounded up. this year it was rounded down! so i wondered as well but ultimatley i dont think it had anythign to do with pg and even if it did it is a "bonus" meaning it can go down. you can ask how your bonus was calculated and find out if you maxed out for your level, or if there is a total comp for your level which a higher bonus would have made you exceed or if earnings were down overall at your compnay. i wouldnt go in complaining and claiming discrimination but i would ( and did) ask these types of questions. I am in HR so i knew some of the answers but wanted clairification. ultimatly it didnt change anyting but i felt better then if i just let it build up. i also have a good relationship with my boss...i was almost hoping for a little extra like a oh you are having twins here is a little more money but that wasnt relaistic. maybe when i have them work will do something. maybe not. hard to say. best of luck to you.

Thanks - I actually have since found out that my boss capped everyone at the bonus he gave them last year (apparently he felt he was too generous last year )

LOL.. sorry to hear that but at least you know it wasnt you! and you can think you got "extra" last year!

I don't get a bonus so it could be MUCH worse.
