IT'S A GIRL!!!!!!!!
My water broke at 3am on the morning of my drs appt (Friday, December 14th).
My contractions started about an hour and a half later(I was still only 3 cm and 90% as I had been for a week) and I had our baby girl by 12: 48!!! Only 9 hrs and 45 minutes total!!!
We named her Addison Rosemary and she was 7lbs, 2 ounces and 19 1/2 inches long and is perfect!!!
We are just so happy it is beyond belief--we so thought she was going to be a boy!!!
For all you December girls still waiting around....it was nowhere near as bad as I thought it would be. I didnt get my epidural until I was 8 cm dilated and 100% effaced due to someone else having an emergency C-section and still it was much better than I ever thought. The worst part were the final pushes but at that point its just happening so you dont even have time to think about it. It really was not bad at all and my recovery has been fantastic. I can actually say I have none to extremely slight pain and I did have an episiotomy. Good Luck to everyone still waiting around...it will happen and it will be so worth it!!!!!!
