spinoff to my post: wii for christmas
ok. so if i don't get a wii for my son in time for christmas morning...
ON AVERAGE, how long after christmas would you expect i would have to wait to be able to get one?
i'm thinking... get him smaller gifts to open on that day and gc for the price of a wii to pick up after christmas.
  thanks for any info

maybe two weeks. There was a big article I read somewhere that Nintendo did not make enough to meet the demand this year and that production time takes a while.

The Wii has been sold out over a year now since it came out last year. As soon as they come in, they go right back out. Yes, Nintendo could produce more but they are produceing a lot and there his a wide range of user base from kids to grandparents so they are selling a ton of systems...

The Wii has been sold out forever. My DH works for Best Buy and the moment they get them in stock, they fly out the door. I wanted one for christmas and can't even get one and you'd think I would be able to because I have a "connection"
