 Holiday Dinner Menu Thread! 
Thought it might be a good idea for everyone to post what they are having for their holiday dinner so that others could get ideas.  
  We're hosting, so my thoughts are this:
  Snacks/Appetizers: nuts cheese and crackers olive loaf and hummus/babaganouj
 
  Soup and Salad: Vegetable soup with pastina Mixed Greens with tomatoes, cuc's, red onion, avocado
  Mashed potatoes String Beans Corn Spinach Pie Baked Ziti or Lasagna Turkey or Roast Chicken
 
  Pumpkin Pie Cheesecake Banana Muffins
  Assorted Teas Coffee

oh great thread i just posted a question about this...i can add some things
  apps: spin dip  mini quiches
  penne a la vodka seafood lasagna

I am hosting Christmas Eve and this is what I have planned so far:
  Appetizers  Spinach Dip Proscuitto & Provelone Stromboli Pigs in the Blanket (by request from the kiddies)
 
  Dinner  Baked Ziti Chicken Rollatini (MIL is making) Stuffing Potato Croquettes Fried Calamari Linguini w/ Shrimp & Spinach 
  Dessert  Rainbow Cookies Oreo Truffles Cheesecake (1/2 plain & 1/2 Apple Cinnamon topping)

I'm having Christmas Day dinner, still working on the menu but this is what I have so far.  We're having 10 people.
  Spinach dip melon & prosciutto
  Beef tenderloin w/ port wine sauce  Twice baked potatoes green beans w/shallots & bacon salad w/candied pecans and blue cheese
  6 layer toffee cake

they'll be about 20 of us...
  so far the menu is
  appts: cheese and crackers chips/pretzels/dip taco dip with nacho chips shrimp cocktail swiss cheese rounds (it's a mix of swiss/mayo/bacon on those mini rye slices and then baked) pigs in the blanket
 
  dinner: (served buffet) turkey spiral ham lasagna scalloped potatoes macaroni salad mac and cheese  green salad cranberry sauce assorted rolls and bread
  deserts: brownies cupcakes pies cheesecake cookies

not sure about apps
  Filet mignon roasted asparagus spnich and aritichoke bake califlour in a cream sauce red potatoes

Appetizers: pigs in a blanket shrimp cocktail might try fried ravioli recipe on here
  Dinner: Penne a la Vodka (1st course) turkey ham stuffing mashed potatoes sweet potato casserole green bean casserole carrots
  Dessert: brownies cookies apple pie and whatever my family brings

Hi I am new and I LOVE TO COOK!! I wanted to share as well
  Here is my Christmas eve menu
  Apps Cream cheese with Chutney and crackers Spinach and Artichoke dip Cheese and Crackers chips and dip Veggie Platter with ranch dill dip Smelts (fish)
  Main Course( feast of seven fishes)No meat on Christmas eve!! Bacala (SP?) grandma's recipe Shrimp Marinara with spaghetti Scungelli salad Lobster Tails Ciopino
  Dessert Church Windows Strufala's Pumpkin pie Apple Pie Canoli's Tree Bark (yummy and easy recipe) homemade white chocolate and Macadamia nut cookies.
  I LOVE CHRISTMAS EVE DINNER
