We asked over Thanksgiving. I was in my 29th week. We were visiting family in NY and probably won't see them again until after the baby is born so we asked them then.

I did it like the month before the christening (so DS was about a month old)
I sent flowers to SIL and cookies to my brother- attached with a poem asking them to be RJ's godparents.
