Spinoff on Cleaning-do you clean if:
It is dirty or on a schedule. For instance my friend and i were talking about this the other day. We both grew up with pets -her Mom had a cleaning lady that came 1X per week and that was when the house was cleaned. I grew up in a house where the messes were picked up every day but all vacuuming, dusting, etc was done 1X per week.
My DH, on the other hand was raised by a nutcase oops I mean lovely woman(I'm just kidding I really love my MIL but she is a clean freak) who does not own a mop and scrubs her floors on her hands and knees.
My house has a clean kitchen and bathrooms but there may be dog hair on the floor or some dust...until I clean on Sat or Sun what do you do?

Re: Spinoff on Cleaning-do you clean if:
I clean every day. I have three dogs (two of which shed constantly) and if I don't vacuum, dust and wash my floor every day, it's horrible. I, also, do all my glass tables every day. Toilets and sinks get done every other day and tubs once a week as well as windows. I'm very much the clean-freak.

Re: Spinoff on Cleaning-do you clean if:
we have a dog, too that sheds like crazy... we have a roomba that runs a couple times a week while we're at work to get some of his hair, and then i swiffer and vaccum really well once a week. i dust and clean the bathroom once a week, too. i straighten up everyday, but i don't feel the need to do an all out cleaning everyday i try to do some cleaning everyday after work so that i don't have to spend a few hours at a time cleaning, and i can keep up with it... i usually spend a half hour every day doing something ( one day i'll dust, one day i'll swiffer...) instead of spending like 3 hours in one shot cleaning the whole house.

Re: Spinoff on Cleaning-do you clean if:
I clean if thinga are dirty- AKA- I'm lazy and hate cleaning. I vacuum when I see a dust bunny and clean my bathroom when I start to see mold. The only thing I do on a regular basis is Lysol wipe the kitchen counter because I'm a germaphobe.

Re: Spinoff on Cleaning-do you clean if:
I pick up, wipe down the counters, table etc. daily but my cleaning lady comes every other week so that's when the big cleaning gets done. Occasionally I break out the vacuum myself when its dirty but not too often.

Re: Spinoff on Cleaning-do you clean if:
My house is always got dirt from kids, company and so on. There for I clean everyday pretty much not a deep clean, just straighten up, vacuum livingroom every other day (sometimes everyday, depending on what my DD has left behind for me at the end of the night). I clean big once a week though usually Friday's or Mondays whichever day when I have the time.

Re: Spinoff on Cleaning-do you clean if:
All najor cleaning is done on weekends and messes and spot cleaning is done daily. (Clorox spray counters, swiffer if dusty, etc.)

Re: Spinoff on Cleaning-do you clean if:
We just moved into our house almost 3 weeks ago, so we aren't on a schedule yet, but I would like to be. Otherwise I would do the big cleaning on the weekend and daily kitchen & bathroom clean up and straighting up.
