consumer reports?

This might be a silly question... but I am wondering where to find safety reports for things like strollers, car seats, etc, etc. We have registered for most things, but have been putting off the big stuff because i just feel overwhelmed and do not know what the best brands are, etc.

TIA!!!!

Re: consumer reports?

Most people use the book Baby Bargains to compare brands etc.

Re: consumer reports?

I used the Baby Bargains book and I know you can also check ratings on the consumer reports website for a fee

Re: consumer reports?

I would also recommend Baby Bargains. I have the Consumer Reports book, but their reviews are not as extensive. Their baby book is more of a what to look for when you are shopping for baby items.

I think if you are able to search the CR website, you might be able to find more thorough reviews of specific items.

I went by consumer reports because I felt like they do the most updated and extensive testing. We bought the book and joined the website.

ITA. We have had a subscription to the website for a few years and it's a really great tool.

I logged on the Consumer Reports website and read the reports. I have Baby Bargains but haven't read it yet, I will but I trust CR more.

Re: consumer reports?

I used Baby Bargains. They do fairly extensive reviews, including how various car seats rate in crash tests.
