Ok, another disguise

Ok, so this is a fake name obviously. I'm an active poster but I cant post on the pregancy or ttc boards under my recognized user name and I need some advice.

My period is late, 2 days late. I am never late- EVER. If anything I'm early by a day or two sometimes, which might mean that I am irregular .

I took 2 HPTs and they are all negative. I do feel like AF should be here any second, but its 2 o'clock now and nothing. I used First Response, do you think I should get a different brand?

if you dont get it i would call your dr and go for bloodwork...im sure your fine but the same thing happened to me and I had an ectopic pregnancy...do u feel like your gonna get your pd.?

When you took the HPT did you use FMU? If not, repeat test with FMU. If so, wait 2 days and test again with FMU.

Yes it is possible to be PG and not get a positive reading on a HPT, but that is very rare. False negatives are more common than false positives.

i got a negative with 1st response and a positive with a dollar tree test

I wouldn't worry too much yet. Give it another day or two. tests are pretty accurate and if you are stressing out it could be delaying it as well.

Do you want to be pregnant? I wrote this as if you did not.

Thanks for the responses. To answer your questions:

1. I used First Response and tested with FMU this morning.
2. I would love to be pregnant! We are just not trying so to speak. I am happily married and would consider a child a blessing.
3. I am stressed out about work, so maybe that is whats delaying my period.

There really is no such thing as completely regular.
You can be 100% regular all your life then one month your body is just out of whack.
If the tests are negative after you missed your period, you are most likely not pregnant.

My very first p/g I had 4-5 negative tests and when I went to the doc I was somewhere around 6-7 weeks
(I do have irregular periods)

A week after getting my BFP with FRER, I still tested negative with Dollar Tree tests.

Well I just wanted to let you guys know that I still haven't gotten my period and its Sunday night. I took 5 more tests (first response, and dollar trees) and they are ALL negative.

IN January, I was 14 days late, and definitely not pregnant.
I called my Dr's office, and they said, no matter how regular you are, your cycle will completely change every 7 years. It was, to the date, 14 years after my first period.
Interesting.
