What about using your last name for the middle name?

My dad was pestering me about this when he found out I was PG.... Honestly, I just decided to give DD his last name, but now that I think about it.... if I had had a son... I don't know what I would have done....

If you are planning on marrying him eventually, I would give the baby his name. If you don't think you will marry him, give the baby your name.

I am sure no matter what decision you make...your baby will be loved completelyChat Icon

I would look into both cases. i had two friends who gave her their children the father's name for legal reasons. I think it had something to do with future child support if, god forbid, things didn't work out.

I think it depends where you think you're relationship is going. If it looks like you're heading down the path towards marriage, then I would just use his last name (it will save the hassle of changing it later on and, trust me, social security is a pain in the azz).

If it's still up in the air (i.e. you haven't really discussed the marriage thing), then I would use your last name.

Hope that helps!

I agree with this
