How many bottles?

So I finally decided to register for Born Free and Playtex Drop ins. I was thinking of Dr Browns but if these don't workout then I will will try those. So far, I registered for 2 5oz Born Free and 3 4oz Playtex Drop ins bottles. I am not sure how many more I should get considering I have no idea if either/any of these will work? Suggestions? Also, how many liners, breast pads, and milk storage bags should I register for?
I'm clueless.

Re: How many bottles?

We only registered for Born Free. I registered for 2 2-packs (4 bottles) of the small size and 3 2-packs (6 bottles) of the large size. I also registered for 1 2-pack of stage 1 nipples and 2 2-packs each of the stages 2 and 3 nipples.

Re: How many bottles?

I use Dr. Brown's for DD-

We have 6 4 oz bottles and 6 8 oz bottles. It has worked out fine...I wash bottles 1-2x per day. I have an extra set of 3 8 oz bottles at my Mom's so I don't have to worry about bringing them there.

Newborns eat every 3 or so hours, sometimes sooner. If you only get 2 or 3 bottles in each size you'll spend half of your day washing bottles.

Good luck!

Re: How many bottles?

Thanks for the responses, but just want to clarify.
I was told to register for more than one type of bottle and then buy more of whatever kind DD likes more. So I don't want to get a ton of a type of bottle that ends up not working but I also don't want to be washing bottles constantly. The reason I only registered for smaller bottles is because I figured that by the time DD was ready to move to the bigger ones, I would know which brand to get. Does that make sense or am I just better off registering for a lot of both in multiple sizes so I don't make myself crazy. Chat Icon Seriously registering is too stressful!

Re: How many bottles?

Sounds like you did good. I registered for the Born Free starter pack which my BFF told me she was going to get for me. I also got the Gerber bottles. 6-9 oz bottles, 3- 4oz bottles, and I have 3 Evenflo bottles... again the 4 oz.

I will wait to see what she likes, but since I mainly got them for when Brian wants to feed her, I don't think I'm going to be using them all that much.....
