Did anyone see the sign outside Nordstrom?
It said something like, "We will not be decorating for the holidays until after Thanksgiving. Enjoy your Thanksgiving".
Almost to make a point that everyone else starts way too early.

I think its stupid, people should decorate when ever they want, I love when the malls are decorated, put me in the mood for the holidays.

i am glad they aren't decorating but i don't see the need for a sign explaining themselves - it's a little disrespectful to the stores that choose to decorate earlier, IMO.
don't get me wrong - i personally HATE when stores start decorating for the holidays before halloween is even over... but sometimes silence speaks volumes, KWIM?

Sounds like great marketing to me!!  It's definitely creating a "positive buzz" from most.

I think it's more about marketing than "making a statement" honestly. They want people to actually notice that they haven't decorated yet.
