Does anyone here partial nurse?
I have recently begun partial nursing DD (4 1/2 mos) since I returned to work. I BF her in the early morning (5:30) and then when I return from work at around 4:30/5:00. I *had* been feeding her again around 9:30, but recently realized that she does not need that feeding (she sleeps from 7ish to about 5:30 w/o waking to feed).
I think my milk supply is GREATLY decreasing and I'm not sure DD is getting enough. She bas been fussy when nursing and I can tell that she's not getting what she wants. BUT - when I squeeze my boob (sorry, TMI), milk does come out (even squirts out), but my boobs definitely feel "deflated".
On top of this, DD does not take a bottle and is being fed (formula) by a dropper during the day. She is not getting nearly as much as she would if she was taking a bottle (on average, 5-6 oz.).
So my questions are: 1) Has anyone fed their DC on such a schedule (basically 2x/day) w/o losing adequate supply? 2) Do you think Fenugreek would help me? 3) Do you have any other suggestions/advice?

Are you pumping? Perhaps add a pmping session in the afternoon.

When I got down to pumping just a couple of times a day, I saw a major decrease in my supply. I tried fenugreek but it didn't seem to do too much for me....maybe it increased an ounce or 2. I didn't cut back to 2x a day until I was phasing out BF all together though. The decrease pushed me to give it up one month earlier than planned.

I am not pumping (but have in the past, when I was EBF). I was thinking of pumping at night around that 9:30 feed time that I recently eliminated. Do you think that would help my overall milk production?
Also, as a side note - would it be really obvious if DD was hungry and not eating enough? I'm just so nervous that she's not getting enough.
