 Spaghetti Squash
Anyone make this instead of pasta?
  How'd it come out?
  Any cooking hints?
  Thanks!

 Re: Spaghetti Squash
Very easy to make, and so yummy!
Usually, I just cut it in half, scoop out the seeds, and boil it water until soft.
Once done, I use a fork and scrape out squash. I usually just season it with some parmesean cheese and pepper. Sooooooooo good

 Re: Spaghetti Squash
My mom cuts it in half and microwaves it. Comes out good! She makes it with garlic, oil and diced tomatoes. Not usually in place of pasta though, more as a side dish.

 Re: Spaghetti Squash
I make it all the time and even my DH loves it.
I cut it in half, place it in a bking dish, face down, with some water, and bake until the skin gets all soft and the insides are tender to a fork.
Then I scoop it out and mix it with a medly of veggies (mushrooms, zucchini, diced tomatoes), beans (northern), italian spices, and serve with a little parm cheese.
I also can toss with it wheat pasta, so you get a little pasta taste. I always have TONS of leftovers and it tastes even better the next day.
