TOY RECALLS (LIST OF MANY)
NOt sure if this has been posted already.
LIST OF RECALLS
I guess our kids should stick to playing with pots and pans
Now Im glad that Im overly paranoid about EVERYTHING in regards to choking or putting in their mouths. regardless of brand names and how well made it seems.

Re: TOY RECALLS (LIST OF MANY)
OMG! They should just take all toys off the shelves at this point.
Maybe I should let my son play with the remote control...

Re: TOY RECALLS (LIST OF MANY)
The list is long, but the oldest one is from 1974, so given the 33 years that the list spans, it's not quite as bad as it seems. However, there were 72 listed from 2007.... 700+ total recalls means an average of about 22 per year, so 72 this year is a *bit* high....
I'm not sure if a huge increase in recalls means that toys are getting worse, or checks are getting better, and unsafe toys are getting pulled faster.

Re: TOY RECALLS (LIST OF MANY)
Has anyone had toys on the list but got them before the dates listed? What did you do with them?

I'm not sure if a huge increase in recalls means that toys are getting worse, or checks are getting better, and unsafe toys are getting pulled faster. I think it's that the watchdog groups are now really getting into the act and doing independent testing and thus finding out faster about toys that have harmful substances on/in them or are hazardous..

Re: TOY RECALLS (LIST OF MANY)
Just to put it into perspective, that lists all toys recalled from 1974 to today.
Oops! Didn't see the earlier post saying that.
