I have had hip area pain before- more achy than sharp though.
I do get sharp muscley pains above my hip- either round ligament or uterus stretching pain.

My hips hurt when I lay on my side now. I put a pillow between by legs when I go to sleep & that has helped a lot.

I get sharp hip pains when I lay down, earlier I would get them for no reason.

Yes, I get awful hip pains, mostly when sleeping on a particular side. They usually go away once I stretch out my pelvis and switch sides or put a pillow between my legs...Ive had them since about 5 weeks pregnant and am still getting them at 33 weeks.
