When did you get your DC on a bedtime/sleeping schedule?
DS will be 8 weeks this week and we've been pretty lax with any sort of routine. Right now he will fall asleep for the night around midnight and will wake at 4 and 6.
What is your bedtime routine, what time do you put your DC to bed for the night, and at what age did you start your routine?
TIA! I need hlep!

Re: When did you get your DC on a bedtime/sleeping schedule?
I started at about 8 weeks, since I knew I had to go back to work at 12 weeks.
We always started it at about 7pm. We do a bath every other day, light massage with baby lotion, book, bottle and then bed by 8pm.
At 8 weeks she pretty much slept through until 5am. We went through some spurts when she needed a bottle during the night, but she'd eat and go right back down.
Good luck! It's great having a routine. She's still doing it today without fail and she's 11months

I can't help but I am interested in this as well because at almost 10 weeks DS really has no schedule. His schedule differs SO MUCH from day to day. SOmetimes he will cooperate and sleep at night and other times he won't and I just don't know how to fix it

Re: When did you get your DC on a bedtime/sleeping schedule?
DD is 3 months and we just started setting a routine for her at night. She doesn't seem to do well with early feedings/being put down early so we begin her bath followed by massage and storytime between 6:30 - 7 every other night and hopefully to sleep around 8'ish. For nights without the bath I still do storytime.
When I tried to do anything earlier she was waking up for playtime around 10 or 11 pm. Thankfully that stopped!

We always sotra had a routine, but we really started trying to get structured at 8 weeks since I was going back to work at 10. We always did baths int he evening and tried for a book or listening to some music just to wind down. And we tried to always put him down at the same time every night. Good luck!

Re: When did you get your DC on a bedtime/sleeping schedule?
At about 3 months we started having a sort of routine. She would go to bed around 10 - 10:30, sleep till about 6 or 7 and wake for one bottle. Not long after she was sleeping from 8-7 waking for 1 bottle and then by about 6 months or so she slept straight through.

Re: When did you get your DC on a bedtime/sleeping schedule?
I tried to start early but it didn't seem to go over well at about 7 months DS just kicked right into routine especially after we started the cry it out for bed time-that lasted about 4 days (so sad I cried too but it worked like a charm wish I tried it earlier maybe that is what I needed to do all along?) then he just started to put himself to sleep right after a bottle and story we put him in the crib and off he went when he got cozy-sometimes he plays for a bit but he falls asleep pretty painlessly now and on a schedule!
