Those getting a nanny???
When are you planning on or did you start to interview nannies before going back to work???
How soon before you actually had to be back??
Thanks.

Re: Those getting a nanny???
I plan to start interviewing when on my maternity leave. I should be home for 12 weeks, so id like to take my time and possibly have the nanny with me for a month.

Re: Those getting a nanny???
I plan on trying to find someone and have them in place before my maternity leave. I actually would like the person to come in once a week while I'm on leave to help with some light housework and stuff and so that I can feel more comfortable leaving my young baby with them... I'm so not comfortable with this entire concept, but unfortunately, I work b/c I have to not b/c I want to so I have to learn to get over it... I thought that spending some time with the nanny would make the transition easier.

Re: Those getting a nanny???
I spoke to one of the nannies that works in my bldg about when I should start interviewing & she said if at all possible, wait til the baby is a month so that you can tell whether or not the baby is comfortable with the potential nanny. I plan on going back to work after 6 wks, so I may be cutting it close then.
