Dear DH,
You do not ask me how I am feeling and that is fine. I am back to taking out the garbage and recycling and bringing in the groceries after that initial burst of you feeling that you wanted to take those responsibilities for 9 months, and that is fine. It is all no big thing. However, if we (you) are going to pretend that my body is not going through a little something special these days, then please be consistent and don't just acknowledge it when it means taking away the good stuff.
SIL has 6 tix for us to go to the Steelers/Jets game, and we also have field access tags so we can go on the field with the Steelers before the game to watch them warm up. How psyched am I?!?!?! So now you are uncomfortable with me going to the opposing team's field wearing a Steelers jersey WITH YOU just in case the Jets fans harrass me?
Me: But you didn't mind one bit when I wore my black & gold to see them play the Giants in NY.
DH: You weren't pregnant then.
Is someone going to toss me over the bleachers and onto the field? And if so, wouldn't it hurt even if I was not PG?
This is not resolved yet sweetie, I am going.

Ugghh for you! I hate when our DHs decide to become selectively protective over their pregnant wives. DH doesn't want me going out to the bar during the NYC marathon, yet I can handle taking out the garbage and making dinner (rarely, but it happens)!
I'm with you Cheryl - you go to the game and enjoy your field access. I will be enjoying seltzer in some bar along First Avenue!

Yeah, strange selective protectiveness...me going to see Type O Negative last night was no sweat, but no live football game just in case the other team's fans want to get drunk and attack me? Just because I am PG, that does not mean I am no longer a psychobiotch..I can still throw a decent left hook if need be.

In fact, one would think we'd be more dangerous now than ever . . . with all the raging hormones and all. If someone makes me mad, they'll have hell to pay!
I'll add a little cranberrry juice to my sad little seltzer. That should add a little oomph.
