photos I took of one of the burn areas

In case anyone's interested, I put some pics in my photo album that I took out the window while I drove to work this morning - they're very blurry, as I was probably going about 75mph and obviously watching the road instead of the camera. (Sorry I don't know how to post the link!) No burned down houses or anything, these are just along the highway.

The Rice Canyon fire was right along the road I use to commute and jumped the 8-lane highway, so coming down that way, there's nothing but charred brush on either side of you for a little while. It's really kind of eerie and makes me feel sad looking around. You can see the poor air quality in the pictures too.

The fires are pretty much under control, and they've let us come back to work, but they're not completely out yet and it still smells strongly of smoke when you're outside.

I have some of my area too. My sister also sent me some of her gully right before and after the fire hit her house.

I haven't posted them yet.
