If you could start your own business (as a side business)

What would it be?

I love going to tag/estate sales. So, I thought about doing this and selling stuff on ebay,

Also, making jewelery out of swarvski crystals and selling it.

I even thought about going to school part time to get a cosmotology license.

Something crafty...like making scrapbooks, or wrapping favors (love that).

I used to fix computers on the side (GeekSquad but without the Beetle, and years before they thought of it...). It got to be too much of a hassle, and took too much time away from my family. Now, if it doesn't involve my family, job and/or my house, I really don't have time for it.

I make jewelry ( from swarovski and sterling silver) and i am ending my business at the end of the year. Unless you want to dedicate every minute of your life to it, it is a very hard business to be successful at. I spend whole weekends at fairs and the money i make is small. And selling things by consignment is very risky - you really have to trust who you are working with.

My GF and I are starting a party planning business as we speak. We both have kids and full time jobs. So we both want to do it, til it isn't fun anymore. We both love planning events. I feel like everything I've done, crafty, planning a party, cake decorating was all a prep for the wedding! We contemplated it before I even got engaged and put it on hold for me to plan the wedding, which just solidified my love for this stuff!

i really enjoyed doing my wedding and im beyond organized
i do it for free for one of my friends getting married ...but the upstart money is too high for me to acutally go through with it

I would love to be a singer. Not on like a Britney kind of stardom level but like maybe a wedding band where I could do what I love and make a little extra cash on the side.

I am a Hairdresser, and started my own buisness out of my home after DD was born. It has been an amazing decision. I make my own schedule and still make great money. I still work in the salon 8 hours a week just to get out of the house, see my friends, and keep up on the current styles and techniques.

not as a side business....i would loveeee to one day own my own day care ....i teach right now it would just be great to abide by my own rules and way of doing things instead of an administeration

I would love to open a restaurant or a bakery, but the hours stink.

I think I would want to start a magazine. I loved the idea of JFK Jr's GEORGE - political, hip mag, but too bad it didn't last too long.

i would own a store similar to national jeans. a little boutique where i handpick the clothes i sell and i decorate with big chandeliers and plush couches. ahhhh to dream

I would make birth announcements, invitations, Holiday cards and save the dates...using my photoshop knowledge.

In fact...I'm trying to do this now...

Designer for invitations of any kind, wedding programs, escort cards, menus, holiday cards. . .etc.

I've done a few things for some friends and people seem to like what I do. I would love to be able to make this a full time thing eventually.
