I failed it!
Oh well I figured I failed my glucose test because they never call unless something is wrong. I have to go for the 3 hour on monday. Any suggestions as to what I can do to pass? A girl at work said to eat lots of protein this week.

Re: I failed it!
I watched my sugar and carb intake the day before.
I think going first thing in the morning is a good idea too. They will tell you to fast I believe after 8 or 10pm the day before.
Good Luck! I passed my 1 hour and then later on in my pg my baby was measuring big so they made me take it again and it came back borderline so they had me take the 3 hour and I passed. Bring a book with you

Re: I failed it!
Did you eat a lot of sugar/carbs the day and morning before the 1 hour? If so I would try to limit your "white flour and sugar" intake and try to have higher protein.

Re: I failed it!
I failed my one hour as well. My advice is not to do anything special to try and pass the 3 hour - just follow the instructions they give you about fasting before hand. This is all about the health of your child and that should be paramount.

I agree. You should eat as you normally would before the 3 hour. If your body isn't processing sugar correctly, you need to know that, for your baby's health as well as your own.
I wouldn't gorge myself on sugar, but if you normally have dessert sometime during the day, have it. I would just follow the fasting guidelines--JMO.
Good luck!

I agree with the previous posters who said don't do anything special. This test is for your baby's health, it's better to know now and correct the problem, if there is one, than to not know and potentially cause harm in the end.

Re: I failed it!
eat protein and fiber.. fiber will negate the carbs.. I failed my 3 hour and controlled my GD with diet.. The class i took with the hospital said to eat lots of fiber (salads, vegs).. dont eat too much fruit --lots of sugar. watch what you eat the week before and try not to eat the sweets and breads.. Good Luck.
Also drink WATER..
