Please don't quote as I'll likely take this down if it gets too hairy.
I thought about letting this lie- but then after reading BI08's post about how *nasty* I was- I have to speak up.
By fming her I was looking to avoid the *board drama* we all know and "love"- but of course, it was brought to the boards anyway.
I am happy to forward the fm I sent so people can see for themselves that I was NOT nasty and that I did NOT accuse her of anything. I simply told her my suspicions and why I felt them and even offered up an apology if I was wrong. It wasn't until she decided to twist things that I feel it got *nasty*.
Sorry folks- regardless- something just didn't (and still doesn't) sit right with me. BUT- I explained to her why I felt this way. Having just graduated from the Pregnancy board a few months ago-I'm protective of the community. There were glaring inconsistencies I thought I saw and questioned them.
And considering I'm working and raising a newborn- no, I don't think I have "too much time on my hands" as some of you claim. I thought I saw something strange and did what I thought was appropriate (through fm rather than public post).
Since you claim to not be a fake, Babyin08, and apparently others feel you aren't- I wholeheartedly apologize for my misstep. Please know it wasn't out of malice that I questioned you.
Please, no flames. I didn't fm her to CAUSE drama, I did it to avoid drama.

I wasn't aware of the "drama" until a few minutes ago, but because of recent developments with fake people, I have to thank Amy for looking out for our well-being......
Amy, you obviously had suspicion, and though unfounded, you went about it the right way by FMing.
Whatever the situation was, hopefully it will settle down soon and we can back to freaking over breastfeeding, nursery colors and strollers!!!!!

Well I guess drama can be created on any board, even Pregnancy.
When it comes to what people are posting I don't pay enough attention to presume that someone is fake.
Every single one of us could be fake. I could not be pregnant. I could have been pregnant 5 years ago, or I could have a friend that is pregnant and posting based on that information. How does anyone know that we are all telling the truth?? But does it really matter?? That's what I don't understand. Why not just leave it alone?? You will never TRULY know any of us, even people you may have met.
That is why I don't get people who try to call other people out. This is the internet.

I didnt post anything about her...she sent me a FM about being a fake...and i was annoyed by it considering i come on here for advice this is my first pregnancy everything is new to me...i just didnt like the fact that she said cause i ask questions basically im a fake..either way im not here for drama so whatever people want to think they are free to their opinons and i understand protecting your family but i just wanted to let everyone know i wasnt a fake. Its over and done with either way

im so sorry that your feelings have been hurt this is an amazing site for help and advice and i hope it dosent put you off from asking as many questions as you like. congrats on your pregnancy

Look- I gave you a laundry list of what made me suspicious- asking strange qustions was just one of them, so please stop making it out like I decided, "Oh, she's pregnant and asks questions- she must be fake...."
I'm NOT sorry I fmed you. I am sorry that you have twisted my words to make me seem like this playground bully trying to steal your lunch money.
Rather than create drama on the boards by posting, "Hey Babyin08, I think you're a  " I did it privately and NICELY, I might add. I understand you might be insulted that I thought you might be fake, but I was never NASTY to you- so please stop making it out like I was.

ITA. Like the person that was pretending to be PG, then had the baby and the entire time was a guy and was stealing those pictures from other people. It is scary.

I don't know anything about what happened, the posts that were pulled or anything else...but, I've come to know Amy a bit through the boards over the last few months, and I seriously would doubt that she did anything to cause drama, I truly would think that anything she did was for the good of the community, and nothing more.
Again, I have no clue what went on in the post that was pulled as I don't frequent PG board as often anymore, but it sounds like Amy was just trying to be protective and not trying to offend anyone or start drama.

IT"S THE INTERNET PEOPLE! ANyone and everyone can see what you write, what you post, and who the hell cares if someone decides to make a fake identity! You don't want pics stolen by fakes, don't post pics, you don't want people to know your business, don't reply or start threads. There are sickos all over the place and the internet is no different.
The internet is a public domain, LIF is not a safe haven, Ron doesn't do background checks on his members or check the IP address of everyone who come on here as it is with any website you visit. You have to watch what you do, what you write, none of us have no right to call out someone we think could be a fake or not.
I'm sorry if i am ranting or sound harsh. But ladies get a grip, this is the INTERNET and always will be a public place. don't post, or write anything you wouldn't scream from a mountaintop.
Just let it all go and take it for what it is... THE BIG WORLD OF THE INTERNET

I don't understand fm'ing a person to ask if they're a "Fake" if what they've been asking is innocent and no malicious intent DESPITE my feelings..who cares????
Just because someone is asking questions you think they should know the answer to does NOT make them a "fake". Good lord, if that were the case all the moms on the parenting board would be (just joking!).
Seriously though...like another poster said, this is the internet! A mere chat board!! No one is out to get anyone and if they are its usually pretty evident, no?
