spinoff to halloween party foods: Beverages

how much liqour do you buy for your party?

say you had about 20 people, how much do you think would be sufficiant?

i am thinking so far im going to get:

-(make) punch (i usually use melon skii vodka with dif 'tropical' juices)
-lots of beer
-jameson (and ginger ale)
-vodka (and cranberry &/or oj)
-strawberry &/or blueberry stoli (and lemonade)
-red wine
-white wine
-bottle of champagne
-sailor jerry spiced rum (and coke)

would you say thats plenty, not enough, would you omit or add anything?

We always have a BYOB policy at all of our gatherings. That is always rule number one.

In addition I would just make a spiked punch, keep a Vodka, a Rum, and a Whiskey (Jack for my DH) on hand.

People will drink whatever you have available and leave it at that. Don't go crazy.

That sounds like a good mix and people will probably bring a bottle here or there. I would probably add seltzer and some soft drinks for the non drinkers/designated drivers.
