Re: What is your newborn going to sleep in?
I got the Arm's Reach Co-Sleeper, and I'm guessing thats where she'll sleep for about 3 months.
My first was in a pack n play bassinet for 10 weeks.

Re: What is your newborn going to sleep in?
just wanted to recommend a mini co-sleeper, you can put right next bed and one side drops down half way ---really good for moms who are going to bf.

Re: What is your newborn going to sleep in?
hopefully the basinett my mom had made from her wedding dress, which is worth more than any bassinet out there....
hopefully he/she will sleep in it for only a few months...

Re: What is your newborn going to sleep in?
It looks like our house may not be done until april or may, so I would love to put off getting the baby furniture until then.
I am planning on BFing.
Any recommendations would be great!!!!!

The Arm's Reach Co-Sleeper "holds up to 30 lbs or until your baby can roll from side to side. The Co-Sleeper also converts into a handsome and sturdy playard with a double trampoline floor and industry-approved safety locking arms, which can hold up to 50 lbs." That will give you plenty of time to get your house done. I wouldn't suggest the pack n play bassinet which has a weight limit of 15 pounds -- which is why I had to move my DD#1 into her crib at 10 weeks.

Re: What is your newborn going to sleep in?
I'm thinking of using the Pack and Play in the very beginning. But i want her to go into her crib very early so MAYBE we won't have such a hard time adjusting.

I am the same except we are using a family bassinet from DHs family, I think our child will be about #17 to sleep in it!

We're gonna try to do the crib from the beginning, but play it by ear. We'll have a day bed in the baby's room, so it may just work out.

We are also considering that as an option too. We have a futon couch in the nursery.

Re: What is your newborn going to sleep in?
A friend lent me a bassinet, but we are strongly considering the crib from day 1. Just one less transition to deal with - but we'll see!

Her crib... maybe the PNP bassinet, but I really would rather just put her straight in the crib.

Re: What is your newborn going to sleep in?
I want try doing both, the PNP and the crib. PNP during the day (has wheels so that I can bring it into the living room if I have to) and the crib at night..but we'll see.

we got a bassinet but we're really going to try the crib from the beginning (or at least after a few weeks) and definitely the crib for naps.

I would like to go right to crib. That's what my parents did for me and my brother.
Baby's room is right across the hallway from our room.
