So we were at the ILs having dinner tonight, and
all of a sudden, cops and fire engines come roaring down his quiet court in quiet little Kings Park!
The next door neighbor came home from work (she's a nurse) to find 6 FEET OF WATER in her basement!!! She lives alone, and didn't know what to do, so she called the cops.
They evacuated her and cut all the electrical wires going into her house, because there was a great risk of starting a fire. She's spending the night in one of ILs' spare bedrooms.
Scary, huh? I can't believe how flooded we are.
My little sis works at the Gap in Northport Village, and they've had sandbags in front of their doors all week!
