ok- I think I am more stressed...
over my sister's wedding then I was about my own
I am planning it for her- and I have alot to live up to
My Dad is paying- which is nice- but is relying on me to do everything since he doesn't live here either-
I feel weird spending his money this time for some reason- maybe b/c he isn't part of the planning
I just want her to have the wedding of her dreams!

Why are you planning your sister's wedding? Does she live OOT?
Good luck... I don't envy you--- feels like it would be a lot of pressure to spend someone else's money as well as choose things like you like in hopes that your sister will like everything!

she is invloved- but younger- only 24 and can't buy a shirt with out asking me
I don't want to tell her what to do- just to guide her into making decesions

OMG Beth I can relate. I am planning my sisters as well. She lives in MD, but they are getting married up here next October. She is paying though, so I also have to "bargain shop" for her.

thanks- it's not easy right!
we are thinking september of next year-
but after we book the hall I am going to have to bargin for stuff b/c she is having more people then me and the places are more expensive then mine b/c I got married in December
so I am going to have to watch every penny for everything else- I am hoping to use what I learned on LIW -
I learned from planning mine- so I want to use that to maybe come in under budget
this is my Dad's 3rd wedding in 3 years!
(and hopefully his last - we are waiting for him to say he is getting remarried- but that's another story)

totally not easy. As a matter of fact, she booked it for the Monday of Columbus day so that she could get the Westbury Manor. She loved it but no matter how she & I negotiated they would not match her price unless it was an off day. She got her vendors for way less because of the day as well.
I am telling you that it is much harder to do it for someone else b/c of the stress that they may not like it.

Right. So far we have been doing quite well. She has loved my suggestions. The invites is what we are working on right now. That is not going as smoothly.
