I don't feel it is justified in the least bit. It has never been proven that he's done anything wrong and until the day comes where they can prove conclusively that he did take steriods, it's wrong for people to assume he did.
That is your choice. However, let me ask you. How many grown men do you know whose feet and head size have gotten bigger? Take a look at his earlier pictures and take a look at him now. You don't get to look that way just from an exercise regimen and vitamin supplements.
he mostly likely takes HGH (human growth hormone)- which your body naturally produces- and it is not illegal or a steriod
and I doubt he is the only one who takes it

Classless.
Would any of you want to be heckled like that at work? Why would anyone stoop to that level?
Because of the level he stooped to. He lied and cheated his way to this record. He knows it and everyone else does as well and then to go around proclaiming innocence is the height of arrogance. He doesn't have any shame nor does he have any pride in the "work" he does. He has set an horrendous example for young people. The message he sends is that you can lie and cheat your way to where you have to go. Forget about doing it honestly. Classless? I don't think so. It's more than justified.

HGH is not permitted in baseball.
Many people have been caught using illegal substances in baseball.
And is this justified? Yes, just like when fans wore masks and heckled ARod. Or the 1 in 26 is nothing to brag about that heckles the Red Sox.

OJ was never found guilty either.
but the public knows he did it.
other players have ratted him out, his physical self has all the indications...
but he did it for this VERY reason...to become big enough and strong enough to go after the biggest triumph perhaps an individual ball player can have...to break Hank Aarons record.
he's not going to come clean and admit he used ANYTHING..even RED BULL, if it means he'll have to give up his "trophy."

Yeah, but we're not talking about a double murder. It's just baseball. I don't think that's a very fair comparrison.
other players have ratted him out, his physical self has all the indications...
Is it possible that these other players have ratted him out b/c they simply don't like him?
but he did it for this VERY reason...to become big enough and strong enough to go after the biggest triumph perhaps an individual ball player can have...to break Hank Aarons record.
How do you know his motivations for doing what everyone is accusing him of are? You can speculate, but truth be told you're not him nor in his mind.
he's not going to come clean and admit he used ANYTHING..even RED BULL, if it means he'll have to give up his "trophy."
If Alex Rodriguez keeps up the home run pace he keeping, he will surpass Barry Bonds.
Edited to fix quotes...

everything is open to speculation. I didn't say I interviewed the man. I have watched baseball for many years, so I have drawn my own conclusions about him. of course its speculation.
and I bring up the OJ reference b/c although the "crimes" are completely different, the idea of ones guilt being "proven" is the same
legally OJ will never be found guilty
but the public has rendered its own verdict. the same is true for Barry Bonds.
also, it makes no difference if Bonds record is ever shattered. he has it. now. there are many "what ifs" with these records. Arod could be injured and forced to retire...he could slow down his home run hitting pace...
that too, is complete speculation.

I think it's interesting that the biggest rat (Canseco) hasn't said boo about him...and everyone else he has mentioned (including A-Rod, very recently) has either been expelled or "retired". Not saying Canseco should be trusted b/c he's a dirtbag...but I think it's interesting.

he is a dirtbag for sure. I don't know.
but I do know that this guy with the banner probably believes Bonds is guilty. I cannot fault him for his belief OR for his right to express his disgust...it is all part of freedome of speech after all.
If Bonds is innocent, he should sue all these newspapers for libel and slander.

HGH is not permitted in baseball.
how could something that you can legally get from the doctor be illegal in baseball ?
I don't know anything about baseball- but I know a decent amount at steriods - and HGH is 100% not a steriod

Beth, some cough medicines and other LEGAL medications are banned from MANY professional sports b/c of their performance enhancing capabilities.
hell, even steroids can be prescribed by a doctor....but anything used for a purpose other than it's intended one can be dangerous...and a NO NO

Right, but nonetheless, you made a rather conclusive statement. The statement above is merely proving my point of suggesting what you said is speculation.

I understand the comparrison, I just thought it was a bit of a stretch. You didn't, that's fine. You say potato, I say pot-ah-to.
legally OJ will never be found guilty
Yes. It's called double jeapordy.
but the public has rendered its own verdict. the same is true for Barry Bonds.
Yes. There's no arguement here besides the fact that I don't agree with the majority.

Yes it is speculation, just like everyone else is speculating he's guilty of steroid use.

Because you're right...it is going nowhere. We clearly sit on different sides of this issue, but that's cool.
I don't think we're having a debate, just simply discussing our points of view.

Re: the comment that "it's just baseball," some people take their sports VERY seriously. The fact that these people earn millions of dollars a year 'just' to play baseball is worth noting. Also, these people are role models for children - it's part of the job whether they like it or not - that's why it matters so much IMO.
My dad used to be a very big baseball fan. He says the sport is ruined for him now based on all the steroid - or performance enhancing drug use - that goes on, as well as a whole bunch of other reasons.

ITA with you Maathy! Just because they haven't caught him doesn't mean he didn't do it. Just look at the pictures! He is a rat and it's a complete injustice that he currently has the record. We can only hope that Arod takes it from him in the future.
