OH wait, then you'll love this one...
HE asked me when the antipasto was coming
and he's pretty well educated (or so I thought ) in other cultures/foods.
My mom, we wont even go there

OMG they are hysterical!!!
My parents aren't quite that bad. My dad is the Italian one and he loves to cook all kinds of food. But heaven forbid I tell him I use jar sauce...He just may disown me!!! I've also never mentioned the jar sauce scandal to my grandmother b/c she would undoubtedly
My mom, she's just not the daring sort. She likes what she likes and doesn't veer from it.

I like to have a nightlight on in our bedroom. I don't like complete darkness.
I use an insulated lunchbag to take to work.

I sing to my co-workers and make up songs about them. Is that dorky enough?

Re: Name some dorky things you do
Both me and my DH make up dorky songs to amuse our kids with everyday tasks.
My DH made up the poopy song when he used to change Damien and the other night he was like I'm going to try it out on Jaidyn

Im a speedy chef. Speed and use of the least items possible are key (yeah, my mom has disowned me as an Italian daughter )
Please, I don't even know how to make a sauce!!! My grandmother doesn't even know I use sauce out of a jar! Gasp!!!
SAUCE OUT OF A JAR !!!!!!! *CRASH - BANG*
I havent stepped that far away from my family's rules yet
I saw my SIL use jarred sauce once, and you'd have thought I saw a ghost
It's actually pretty good
Well we dont crush our own tomatoes anymore either... so we're not exactly following my grandma's rules either, God rest her soul.
I use the jars of tomatoes that my parents make. They make their own tomato jars for the winter. So I use those jars and all I have to do is season the sauce.
I don't know what I will do when the day comes that my parents won't be around to make the tomato jars...
Now how pathetic is that?
As for the dorky things I do. Well almost everything I do is dorky so we'll just leave it at that...

ALWAYS go see Harry Potter on opening night.
Take my lunch to work in a dorky soft lunch box.
Need some light on (TV or otherwise) at night-- especially when I am alone.

I am a dork. Everything I do is the opposite of whatever is cool.
For example... I make square, round, rectangular & pyramid shaped meatballs with spaghetti so that I can talk about geometry with my kids at dinner.
I record Billy & Mandy so I can watch it... after the kids are asleep.
I have an itty bitty book light so I can read in bed while my husband sleeps.
I underline, highlight and make comments in the margins of all of my books.
I lift my feet when crossing a drawbridge or toll bridge and make a wish.
I still look for 4 leaf clovers
Thats funny,I lift my feet when crossing over train tracks

Re: Name some dorky things you do
I need to have the closet doors close and the door to the room open when I sleep.
I twirl and smell my hair constantly.
My best friend and I play super nintendo every time she comes over.
I use a little spoon and fork (cake fork)... the big, or normal, utensils feel to big for me.

Re: Name some dorky things you do
Wayyy to many to list!
Did you ever hear the White & nerdy song by Weird Al? I am that song... - playing minesweeper and trying to beat my high scores - i have an ergonomic keyboard -i made a website for my dog -i love popping bubble wrap -I was in a chess club when I was younger
Some other weird things: -I have to have my hair up to use the bathroom -I catch spiders and keep them as pets in jars, and I catch flies (with my bare hands) to feed them. Yes, I am that quick. I also made a video once "When Spiders Attack" -I do science experiments in my backyard when I am bored. -I know how to moonwalk
